salam... hye there.. lately i'm a bit preoccupied to post a new entry.. but here i am.. over the last few weeks i heard a lot about olive.. olive plant, olive oil.. it's a famous remedy especially in islamic treatment and also some other alternative treatment for skin.. so.. let me have the pleasure of explaining further about olive.. saje la kan nak share knowledge... for knowledge is not a treasure you should keep for yourself.. it'll become more valuable to share it.. hehehe.. but i would like to share the fun facts about olive, the scientific ones, you have to dig further in the net la...

first of all.. the word olive reminds me of popeye's girlfriend.. the one with round head and very skeleton-like limbs.. hehehe.. her full name is Olive Oyl.. hahaha.. funny isnt it.. she has a very funny voice... well, popeye has rugby ball-shaped arms so i guess the two are soulmates..

the thing about olive is that it is considered as a holy plant as Allah has mentioned about it in the Quran.. in Surah At-Tin (At-tin means the fig)

so, here goes a few fun facts about olive..
1. during the excavation of ancient Egyptian graves, vessels full of olive oils were found.. you see, the ancient Egyptian usually burried there treasure and belongings with them so that they can use all of those treasure in the after life.. this means that olive oil is considere as one of their pride and treasure.. interesting kan??
2. according to the scholars of Hadith, it is believed that after the Toofan-E-Nooh (banjir besar zaman Nabi Nuh), as the water level came down, the first thing on earth that was seen is the olive plant!
3. the prophet Rasulullah s.a.w said that olive can cure up to 70 dieases and one of them is leprosy (Kusta)
4. it helps in curing wounds, eczema, pile(haemorrhoids a.k.a buasir), cold, skind problems, insect bites, streghten the hair, ear ailments, fungal infection, dandruff, allopecia, eye inflammation, muscular pain,constipation, ascites (problem due to water retention a.k.a too much water in the body particularly the abdomen), removes kidney and gall bladder stone..etc..

so many things to talk about when it comes to its benefits... renung-renungkan!!
